Improving oral health

Tooth decay – an almost entirely preventable condition – remains the leading cause of hospital admissions among children in the Kurdistan. Prevention should be at the heart of any effective healthcare strategy. Yet successive governments have failed to provide dentists with the plans or priority to deliver on it.

Improving oral health across Kurdistan

Our work spans the whole of Kurdistan, and the work being done by your representatives and staff in our country offices make sure that dentists’ views are put forward when it comes to health policy being developed by governments and other key stakeholders.

Campaigning for better oral health

When it comes to oral health, we believe in prevention first: tooth decay is an avoidable disease and we are campaigning for Government’s to take this problem seriously, to act now and invest in real prevention.

Through our policy and campaigning work, we ensure that the concerns of all sections of the profession are raised and that dentists’ voices are heard at a national level.
